Your stylist will assess your natural brows, discuss the result you are hoping to achieve and talk you through the most suitable treatment or combination of treatments. The treatment itself is simply the method we use to create the finished result.

Yes. We begin with what is naturally there rather than applying the same brow shape to every face.

Natural growth, eye position, facial proportions, symmetry and the existing arch can all influence how the brow is refined. Where greater correction or redesign is useful, precision brow mapping can help us plan shape and proportion more deliberately.

Yes. Brow asymmetry is very common, and careful shaping, mapping, colour and hair direction can often create a noticeably more balanced appearance.

We’ll consider your natural brow growth, eye position, facial proportions and the way each brow sits before recommending an approach. The aim is not necessarily to make both brows mathematically identical, but to create greater visual balance while keeping the result appropriate for your features.

Sometimes what appears to be brow asymmetry is influenced by the wider face — for example differences in muscle movement, facial structure or the position of the brows themselves. Because UP® works across brows, skin and cosmetic injectables, we do not have to look at those concerns in isolation. Brow lamination is a treatment that changes the direction in which your natural brow hairs sit, allowing them to be arranged into a fuller, more lifted or more structured shape.

The treatment does not add hair. Instead, it works with your existing brow hairs, softening and resetting their direction so they can sit more evenly and create greater fullness, movement and definition.

The result can be tailored from soft and natural through to a more groomed or directional finish. UP® was the first to introduce brow lamination to New Zealand, and our approach has continued to evolve through years of hands-on experience with shape, processing and finish.

Longevity varies according to the treatment, your natural hair growth, skin type, skincare routine and the way the brows are maintained between appointments.

Conventional tint provides the shortest-term colour enhancement. ULTRALAST™ is designed for clients wanting longer-wearing colour and definition, while brow lamination changes the direction and shape of the natural hairs and gradually relaxes as the brow hair grows through its normal cycle.

Microblading and Ombré Brows are semi-permanent treatments and therefore sit in a different category altogether, creating a much longer-lasting result that gradually softens over time and can be refreshed when appropriate.

Your stylist will explain the expected longevity of the treatment you choose and what may influence it for your individual brows.

Most clients find brow waxing brief and very manageable. You may feel a quick pulling sensation as the hair is removed, followed by some temporary warmth or mild redness in the area.

Careful technique, good skin support and working in small, controlled areas all help make the treatment comfortable and precise. If you are particularly sensitive, let your stylist know and we can take that into account.

Certain medications, active skin conditions, recent cosmetic procedures and sensitising skincare can affect whether waxing, tinting, lamination or another brow treatment is appropriate at a particular time.

Please let us know if you are currently using or have recently used isotretinoin, prescription retinoids, strong exfoliating products or other treatments that may have made the skin more sensitive. Your stylist can then advise on the safest treatment approach and timing.

If you are unsure, mention it when booking or at the beginning of your consultation. We would always rather review the situation properly and adapt the treatment where needed.

We have a range of vegan-friendly brow treatments and products, with slightly different certifications across the range.

Our brow dyes contain no animal-derived ingredients, and our most frequently used dye is actively Vegan Certified. If that certification is important to you, let your stylist know and we can select the appropriate option.

Our brow lamination active ingredients are Vegan Friendly, are not tested on animals and use no raw materials derived or sourced from animals. Brow aftercare products from the same range are also Vegan Friendly and Cruelty Free.

Our RevitaLash® lash and brow care range is Vegan Certified.

Shaping, tinting and lamination work primarily with the brow hair you already have and are ideal when the aim is to refine shape, colour, direction or fullness with regular maintenance.

Microblading or Ombré Brows may be worth considering when you would like longer-lasting definition, greater structure, more substantial shape correction or additional density in areas where natural brow growth is sparse.

Microblading creates fine, hair-like strokes, while Ombré Brows use softly graduated shading for a more filled and defined finish. Your consultation will help determine whether either is appropriate and which approach best suits the result you are hoping to achieve.
