Led by Ui, Hitomi and our experienced team, our dedicated SPMU practice is grounded in detailed facial assessment and decades of combined industry experience.

We consider facial structure, proportion, skin behaviour and long-term fade before making a single stroke, ensuring outcomes that are refined, balanced and designed to age predictably.

We combine attentive consultation with expert judgement to deliver results that are refined, deliberate and built to last. We do not rush decisions that will remain for months to come.

For over 11 years, clients have trusted UP® to approach permanent cosmetic treatments with patience, technical discipline and discernment.

Microblading treatments

Microblading involves the placement of semi-permanent pigment just beneath the skin. Using fine, hand-drawn strokes to simulate the appearance of individual hairstrokes, the technique provides a natural, seamless look, quite unlike traditional brow ‘tattooing’ styles.

Brow shading and ombre

Shading and ombre treatments can be applied to simulate a soft-shaded pencil or powder finish. Using a machine to place a fine array of pigmented dots, the finished result is imperceptible from the real thing, but saves previous time in the mirror each day.

Prices start from $380 per session

Our lash line and lip treatments

Lash line (eyeliner)

A lash enhancement involves tattooing an ultra- thin dark line through the top lash line to create the illusion of fuller, darker, thicker lashes. Results are designed to be semi-permanent to provide flexibility for seasons to come.

Prices start from $300 per session

Lip line and blend

A lip line and blend creates a defined line on the outside of the lips, which is then shaded on he inside to blend. This gives lips definition, corrects asymmetry and adds an illusion of volume. Results are designed to be semi-permanent to provide ultimate versatility in the future.

Prices start from $320 per session

Lip blush

A lip blush involves softly outlining the lips and filling them in. The finish is more sheer - similar to a lip tint or stain. This gives an appearance of definition, potential asymmetry correction and an illusion of volume throughout the lip. Results are designed to be semi-permanent.

Prices start from $350 per session

Full lips

Full Lip SPMU provides dense colour over the whole lip as though wearing lipstick. This gives lips definition, potential asymmetry correction and an illusion of volume throughout the lip. Results are designed to be semi-permanent.

Prices start from $450 per session

Frequently asked questions.

What makes UP® different for microblading and semi-permanent makeup?

At UP®, semi-permanent makeup is approached as structured facial enhancement — not quick cosmetic decoration.

For brows, lips and eyeliner, we consider:

• Facial proportions and symmetry
• Natural feature balance
• Skin type and oil levels
• Existing pigment (if any)
• How colour and shape will soften over time

We prioritise refined, balanced results that age predictably rather than heavy initial saturation.

Whether creating hair-stroke brows, soft lip blush or subtle lash line definition, our focus is long-term harmony — not short-term impact.

What is the difference between microblading and machine SPMU?

Microblading is a manual technique used primarily for fine hair-stroke brows.

Machine-based SPMU uses a digital device to implant pigment with controlled speed and depth. It is typically used for:

• Combination brows
• Powder or ombré brows
• Lip blush and lip line
• Lash line enhancement

The correct method depends on:

• Skin type
• Oil production
• Desired finish
• Longevity expectations

Not all techniques suit all skin types. We assess carefully before recommending a method.

How long does microblading or SPMU last?

Longevity varies by area and skin type.

Brows typically soften over 12–24 months.
Lip blush often retains tone for 2–3 years.
Lash line enhancement may last 2–3 years.

Factors influencing longevity include:

• Skin type (oilier skin fades faster)
• Sun exposure
• Skincare products
• Immune response
• Implantation depth

We prioritise gradual, predictable fading rather than heavy saturation that may distort in tone.

A refinement appointment follows the initial treatment. Maintenance is typically recommended at 12–18 months depending on how your pigment softens.

I’ve had microblading or SPMU elsewhere and the colour changed. Why does this happen?

Colour shifts such as grey, blue, green or orange tones often occur due to:

• Incorrect undertone selection
• Excessive implantation depth
• Over-saturation
• Lower-grade pigment systems

Brows may blur if implanted too deeply.
Lip pigment may darken if undertones are mismatched.
Eyeliner can migrate if depth control is inconsistent.

At UP®, pigment selection and depth are carefully calibrated to support gradual, harmonious fading.

If you have previous work, we assess it thoroughly before recommending further treatment. In some cases, lightening may be discussed before correction.

How do you ensure colour stays natural over time?

Long-term colour stability depends on:

• Pigment formulation
• Controlled depth placement
• Conservative layering
• Proper healing

We use premium European-manufactured pigment systems formulated for refined matching and controlled fade behaviour.

Our aim is soft evolution — not abrupt tonal change.

Will SPMU damage my natural brow hair or skin?

When implanted within appropriate skin layers, SPMU does not damage hair follicles or natural tissue.

Risk arises when pigment is placed too deeply or when aggressive repeated implantation occurs.

For this reason, we assess previous work carefully and avoid overworking the skin.

Who may not be suitable for SPMU?

Treatment may be postponed or unsuitable for clients experiencing:

• Active skin inflammation
• Recent cosmetic procedures in the area
• Compromised healing response
• Certain medical considerations

Suitability is determined during consultation.

What hygiene standards apply to SPMU at UP®?

Treatments are delivered within documented infection control systems, including:

• Sterile, single-use cartridges
• Barrier protection protocols
• Surface disinfection standards
• Sharps management procedures
• Structured aftercare guidance

Safety and aesthetic longevity are equally prioritised. See our clinical governance information here.
