Wrinkle-reduction treatments

Fine lines and wrinkles are a natural part of life, and can help form our expressions of laughter, joy and other important emotions. However, as we grow older, for many of us these expression lines can become overactive, or present themselves whilst at rest, leading to premature signs of ageing.

At UP®, we can help to soften and reduce forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet and many other regions about the face and neck. Our experienced team of Cosmetic Clinicians and Registered Cosmetic Nurses will work with you to discover your beauty goals and help you on your journey to realise them.

Your team will ensure you remain informed and in control throughout the entire process, whilst providing a safe, comfortable experience both during and after your appointment.

Botox® and Xeomin® treatments.

Botox® and Xeomin® are cosmetic injectables derived from ‘Botulinum Toxin Type A’, a neurotoxin. When injected into specific muscles, these treatments block nerve signals, temporarily relaxing the muscle's activity. This results in a reduction of wrinkles and fine lines, as the muscle stops contracting and causing creases in the skin.

XEOMIN® has been thoroughly tested in multiple clinical trials and proven to deliver results. In frown-line treatment studies, XEOMIN® anti-wrinkle injections improved the appearance of frown lines in over 95% of patients within 1 month of treatment and desirable effects were maintained for up to 4 months. Additional clinical trials have shown that XEOMIN® is also highly effective for the treatment of horizontal frown lines and crow’s feet with results maintained for up to 4 months.

Be sure to read our Frequently Asked Questions below for more information about these treatments.

Frequently asked questions.

1. What is Botox® or Xeomin®, and how do they work?

Individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of allergic reactions to botulinum toxin should avoid these injections. There are other non-surgical alternatives for wrinkle reduction at UP®, including treatments such as DP [Gold ATP] microneedling, which promotes the production of collagen and cell-turnover for reduction of fine lines and wrinkles; dermal fillers, which add volume to areas with deeper wrinkles; and laser treatments that stimulate collagen production.

UP® also stocks a range of clinic-only skincare products, such as O Cosmedics; Image Skincare and DP Dermaceuticals which are designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and are ideal for use both as standalone products or to enhance wrinkle reduction treatments at UP®.

Each alternative option has its benefits and limitations, and the most suitable treatment will depend on individual needs and goals. Consulting with your Cosmetic Nurse is essential to determine the best approach for your specific case.
