Our supervising doctors are experienced in cosmetic medicine and aesthetic practice governance, providing structured oversight across all cosmetic medical injectable treatments. Both doctors are registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).

Practitioners at UP® operate within clearly defined scope parameters appropriate to their professional registration, training and experience.

Ongoing competency analysis includes confidential professional review of:

Emergency Preparedness & Incident Management

Emergency readiness forms part of our governance structure.

Our systems include:

• Anaphylaxis management protocols
• Vascular complication recognition and escalation pathways

Clinical systems are reviewed in alignment with current New Zealand medical guidance.

Regulatory & Professional Alignment

UP® Clinical Cosmetics operates in alignment with relevant New Zealand regulatory frameworks, including:

• Nursing Council of New Zealand professional scope requirements
• Auckland Council Health and Hygiene Bylaw (for applicable services)

Where appropriate, practice systems reflect guidance from recognised professional cosmetic medicine bodies.

Infection Control & Hygiene Standards

Clinic-wide infection control systems support all treatments, including injectables, laser and semi-permanent makeup.

Protocols include:

• Single-use sterile consumables at all appropriate times

• Competency assessment and certification across all treatments

• Documented cleaning schedules
• Sharps management procedures and protocols
• Device maintenance logs

These systems are designed to protect patient safety while maintaining a calm, premium clinical environment.

Standing Orders & Prescribing Framework - Injectables

All injectable treatments at UP® are delivered by Registered Nurses practising under signed medical standing orders and within clearly defined scope of practice. Standing orders for cosmetic injectables at UP® are issued, signed, and renewed by Dr Nameer Wadeea (MCNZ 61042) and Dr Peter Aspell (MCNZ-registered), who provide the prescribing framework under which our Registered Nurses administer prescription medicines.

All of our Registered Nurses hold current Annual Practising Certificates issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

Our oversight framework includes:

• Formal review and approval of all injectable protocols
• Standing order authorisation and scheduled renewal
• Defined scope of practice documentation
• 24/7 on-call availability for clinical escalation
• Structured adverse event management pathways

Immediate escalation to supervising medical practitioners is available where required.
