Standing Orders & Prescribing Framework

All injectable treatments at UP® are delivered by Registered Nurses practising under signed medical standing orders and within clearly defined scope of practice. All of our Registered Nurses hold current Annual Practising Certificates issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

Our oversight framework includes:

• Standing order authorisation and scheduled renewal
• Defined scope of practice documentation
• 24/7 on-call availability for clinical escalation
• Structured adverse event management pathways

Immediate escalation to supervising medical practitioners is available where required.

Scope of Practice & Competency

Practitioners at UP® operate within clearly defined scope parameters appropriate to their professional registration.

Ongoing competency review includes:

• Clinical audit
• Continuing professional development
• Case review where appropriate

Cosmetic injectable procedures are not delegated beyond defined scope.

• Auckland Council Health and Hygiene Bylaw (for applicable services)

Where appropriate, practice systems reflect guidance from recognised professional cosmetic medicine bodies.

Infection Control & Hygiene Standards

Clinic-wide infection control systems support all treatments, including injectables, laser and semi-permanent makeup.

Protocols include:

• Documented cleaning schedules
• Single-use sterile consumables where appropriate

These systems are designed to protect patient safety while maintaining a calm, premium clinical environment.
